Md Mofizur Rahman new MD of SME Foundation
Dr Md Mofizur Rahman joined the BCS administration cadre in 1986
Dr Md. Mofizur Rahman has been appointed as the Managing Director (MD) of SME Foundation.
He is a former additional secretary to the government, said a press release on Monday.
Dr Md Mofizur Rahman joined the BCS administration cadre in 1986 as a first class officer. In his long government career of 32 years, he held various positions in the administration besides holding important posts in the Ministry of Shipping, Ministry of Environment and Forests, Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock and Bangabhaban.

He graduated from the University of Dhaka in 1982 with a first class honors degree in Management and availed masters in 1973 in the same subject.
He received his postgraduate diploma degree in 2001 from the Maastricht School of Management in the Netherlands and completed PhD in Environmental Studies from Rajshahi University in 2006.
