A mild cold wave is sweeping over Bangladesh, disrupting normal life and causing suffering to people mostly in the north-western districts.
The cold wave is sweeping over the northern districts of Chuadanga, Dinajpur, Panchagarh, Rajshahi, Jashore, among other districts.
The Met office reported the cold wave may continue to spread over the next few days.
Dhaka also continued to feel the chills yesterday, with the Met Office recording the capital's temperature at 12.2 degrees Celsius.
The minimum temperature forecast of nine degrees Celsius was recorded in Jashore today, while the minimum temperature forecast for Dhaka today is 13 degrees Celsius as of filing of this report.
The maximum temperature forecast was recorded at 15.5 degrees Celsius in Teknaf yesterday, confirmed Md Aftab Uddin, Meteorologist, Bangladesh Meteorological Department.
