Milestone College observes National Mourning Day
The university has arranged elaborated programmes including hoisting of national flag at half-mast, wearing black badges and offering prayer marking the day
Milestone College has solemnly observed the National Mourning Day and the 45th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
On the occasion, a special memorial discussion was held on the college campus commemorating the assassination of Bangabandhu and his family members on August 15 in 1975, reads a press release.
The university has also arranged an elaborate programme including hoisting of national flag at half-mast, wearing black badges and offering prayer in compliance with hygiene rules for Covid-19.
Principal of Milestone College Lt Colonel (retd) M Kamaluddin Bhuiyan and Administrative director Md Masud Alam, Vice-principals, heads of departments, teachers, officers and staff were present at the programmes.
