Mohammad Ali removed from ICT prosecution team
Ali was suspended for professional misconduct and indiscipline around four years ago
The government on Sunday removed Mohammad Ali as a prosecutor of the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) for professional misconduct and indiscipline.
The Solicitor Wing – under the Law and Justice Division of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs – issued a notice in this regard, effective immediately.
Mohammad Ali, an additional attorney general in the ICT prosecution team, was suspended on February 8, 2016 over allegation that he was working on behalf of the accused in one of the two cases he was investigating.

Chief Prosecutor Ghulam Arieff of the war crimes tribunal then sent the complaint to the law ministry. Mohammad Ali, however, denied the allegations, saying that some of his colleagues were maliciously accusing him.
After an investigation spanning nearly four years, the law ministry found evidence supporting the allegation and removed Ali.
