More than 2.78 crore attempts to get movement pass so far
The app issued some 132,879 movement passes till this noon
A day after the launch of the police's "movement pass" app, more than 2.78 crore people accessed it as of 1pm today.
Movement passes will be needed to go out in case of any emergency during the seven-day strict lockdown started today.
A total of 2,78,79,495 people hit the app so far. At least 14,557 people hit the app per minute for movement pass amid lockdown, according to data from Police Headquarters.

However, the app issued some 132,879 movement passes till this noon. Some 132,829 passes so far accepted.
Besides, 222,229 people have become able to register for the pass during this period.
People can obtain the pass through an app by visiting: movementpass.police.gov.bd.
Inspector General of Police Benazir Ahmed inaugurated the app today noon, a day before the week-long strict lockdown.
