Mother strangles son to death for only Tk10

A woman allegedly strangled her seven-year-old son to death for demanding only Tk10 in Lakshmipur.
The son Kawsar, a student of class one, was son of Rasel and Shwapna Begum.

The officer-in-charge of Lakshmipur Sadar Police Station, Azizur Rahman, said, "On Monday night, Shwapna started beating him when her son Kawsar asked her for Tk10 and later strangled him to death."
The woman confessed to killing her child during preliminary interrogation, he added.
Local people say that the family was distraught because of her husband's second marriage.
