Moudud Ahmed's body to arrive on Thursday
Barrister Moudud Ahmed, a member of the national standing committee of BNP, died on Tuesday
The body of deceased Barrister Moudud Ahmed will be flown to Bangladesh on Thursday.
The BNP leader will be buried in Noakhali next to his parents' grave at Manikpur village in Companiganj of Noakhali on Friday.
BNP chairperson's press wing member Shairul Kabir Khan confirmed the information to the media, reports Somoy News.
Khan said that permission had been sought in Parliament for his namaj-e-janaza on Friday.
Then the second janaza will be held in front of the BNP central office in Naya Paltan.
Barrister Moudud Ahmed, a member of the national standing committee of BNP, died on Tuesday. He breathed his last around 6:30 pm (Bangladesh time) while receiving treatment at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore He was 80.
Moudud was elected parliament member for five times from Noakhali-1 and Noakhali-5 constituencies.
He had been deputy prime minister (1976-78) in the government of Ziaur Rahman, prime minister (1986-89), and vice-president (1989–1990) in the government of Hussain Muhammad Ershad.
