Muktijoddha Sangsad Santan Command’s Chattogram unit demands Anvir’s arrest
Muktijoddha Sangsad Santan Command Chattogram Metropolitan unit has demanded immediate arrest of Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir, claiming that Mosarat Jahan Munia had been killed.
At a human chain on Chattogram Press Club premises on Friday, its members said it was a matter of shame that the child of a freedom fighter had been killed premeditatedly while Awami League, a pro-liberation force, was in power during the golden jubilee of independence.
Freedom fighter Sadhan Chandra Biswas, assistant commander of Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Chattogram Metropolitan unit, said criminals, no matter how influential they were, should be brought to book.
He demanded exemplary punishment of Anvir.
Muktijoddha Sangsad Santan Command Chattogram Metropolitan unit convener Shahed Murad Saku led the protest while joint convener Md Mizanur Rahman Sajib moderated it.
Muktijoddha Sangsad Santan Command central committee member Md Sarwar Alam Chowdhury Moni, chairman of Muktijoddha Paribarbarga Md Jasim Uddin Chowdhury, and Chattogram University teacher Dr Mohammad Omar Faruque Rasel joined the protest among others.
