Nahid for cancelling unnecessary A2i projects
The adviser said there should be no further objections regarding the work of A2i
Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology Adviser Md Nahid Islam has directed the authorities concerned to cancel the unnecessary projects of Aspire to Innovate (A2i).
He issued the directive while visiting the A2i office in the capital today (4 September).
"The emergence of a new Bangladesh has come at the expense of the lives of students and ordinary people, and it is essential that our endeavors demonstrate our reverence for this sacrifice," he said.

The adviser said there should be no further objections regarding the work of A2i, and the initiatives undertaken by A2i must be accessible to the people of the country.
Highlighting the importance of leveraging innovative capabilities, he said the youth of Bangladesh will be integrated into the information technology sector.
"If necessary, an advisory team will be formed by coordinating with Bangladeshi IT experts working in various countries around the world. The youth in the country will be engaged in work based on their advice."
The adviser mentioned that individuals or groups who are doing good innovative work independently could benefit from guidance.
He said multiple investigation committees have been formed regarding irregularities and corruption within A2i, and emphasised that the investigation process must be impartial and transparent.
The existing political system in the country needs reform, as does the state structure, he said.
"Our state structure has become centered around one individual, where the constitution grants the prime minister unlimited power. We want to change the system through discussions with everyone."
Senior officials of A2i were present during the adviser's visit.
