A Dhaka court has deferred till November 5 the hearing on the charge framing in the Niko graft case against BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and ten others.
Judge Sheikh Hafizur Rahman fixed the date as Khaleda Zia could not appear before the court today.
Khaleda Zia is currently undergoing treatment at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University.
On December 9, 2007, the Anti-Corruption Commission had filed the case, accusing the former prime minister and ten others of misusing power to grant a gas deal to Canadian company Niko.
