No casino, gambling allowed in Dhaka: DMP Commissioner
The law enforcing agencies have already begun making lists of gambling and casino zones.
The Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan of Police (DMP) Mohammad Shafiqul Islam said today that police will not allow any gambling and casino in the capital.
He also said that no matter who runs these, police will take stern action against them.
At a press briefing in his office, the DMP commissioner said that the law enforcing agencies have already begun making lists of gambling and casino zones.

"We have got the list of a zone. We will get another list soon," he said.
"I want to make it very clear that I will not allow anyone, be it a person from an influential group, to run these illegal businesses," he added.
He said Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has started to raid the casinos, police will also start soon.
Mohammad Shafiqul Islam joined his office a week back.
After joining, he gave a directive to his force to make lists of illegal activities in the capital.
