No one will be jobless in this ‘Mujib Year’: Sheikh Hasina
The government is also creating job opportunities for the youth in other countries and providing training to them
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today said no one will be jobless in this Mujib Year.
"The government has plans and schemes to create employment for the youths," the premier said at an award giving ceremoney among self-employed and young entrepreneurs at her office in the capital.
The government of Bangladesh has announced 2020-2021 as the Mujib Year marking the birth centenary of the father of nation, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Sheikh Hasina said the government has plan to provide training to young generation from grade six for developing their thinking and creativity.
She also said the government has been providing all kinds of training to the youth and creating jobs for them.
"From 2009, we have given jobs to 2 crore unemployed youth and are creating employment opportunities for them," the premier said further.
The government is also creating job opportunities for the youth in other countries and providing training to them, she added.
She also mentioned that many people including young boys and girls are earning a good amount of money by doing freelancing jobs sitting at home.
Sheikh Hasina also added her government has introduced "Start Up" programmes to encourage the youths to start their own businesses.
