Now another club raises allegations of vandalism against Pori Moni
Gulshan police say no formal complaint lodged
Gulshan-based All Community Club President KM Alamgir Iqbal today claimed that actor Pori Moni vandalised the club on 8 June.
The club has also filed a general diary in this regard, he added. However, the police denied that any case was filed.
The president raised the allegation at a press conference arranged by the club authorities on the matter.
"Pori Moni had broken 15 glasses, some ashtrays and some plates," said the club president.
However, according to Gulshan Police Deputy Commissioner Sudip Kumar Chakraborty, no formal complaint was filed by the club authorities as of tonight.
"We had called the Gulshan Police that night and a patrol team went to the scene," Alamgir claimed.
He added that the police also forced the actor and her companions to leave the club.
Confirming the incident, Gulshan Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Aminul Islam told The Business Standard that a patrol team was sent to the All Community Club that night after receiving a call on the 999 hotline.
"They had found that Pori Moni broke the glasses and some other belongings of the club," he said.
However, Pori Moni in response said all the allegations are part of a conspiracy.
"It is a conspiracy. Why did this incident come to light after so long? A certain vest is doing this to cover up the incident of my torture," she told The Business Standard.
