BHBFC MD Debasish Chakrabarty dies of Covid-19
Bangladesh House Building Finance Corporation (BHBFC) Managing Director Debasish Chakrabarty died of Covid-19 on Monday night.
Debasish along with his three family members were infected with coronavirus and they were undergoing treatment in different hospitals in the capital, said an official of BHBFC.
As the condition of Debasish, who was undergoing treatment at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), worsened in the evening, he was taken to Evercare Hospital at night.

Later, he died there at 9:45pm, confirmed the official.
Debasish held the BHBFC MD post since January 1, 2017. Prior to that, he was the deputy managing director (DMD) of Rupali Bank.
Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal has expressed profound shock at the death Debasish Chakrabarty, reports BSS.
In a message of condolence, he prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
