PM donates Tk10cr to Centre for Rehabilitation of the Paralysed
The CRP was formed in 1979 to meet the desperate needs of people with disabilities
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday donated Tk10 crore to the Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed (CRP).
"Sheikh Hasina donated Tk10 crore to the CRP to help it conduct its activities smoothly, and continue providing healthcare and other services to the people," the prime minister's Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim told the media.
The CRP – which was formed in 1979 to meet the desperate needs of people with disabilities – provides medical treatment, rehabilitation and support services focusing on physical, emotional, social, psychological and economic aspects.
It promotes the development of skilled personnel in the healthcare and rehabilitation sector in the country. The CRP has built centres in different parts of the country to expand its services for disabled people in collaboration with other organisations.
