The meeting was held at the BNP chairperson's political office in Gulshan on Wednesday (13 September 13) afternoon, confirmed BNP Chairperson's press wing member Shairul Kabir Khan.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was present in the meeting along with party standing committee member and international relations committee Chairman Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, Organising Secretary and International Relations committee member Shama Obaid.
The upcoming national election was given the most importance in the discussion. Everyone is concerned about it, he [ambassador] is also concerned. Their position is similar to that of other democratic states," BNP Standing Committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury told reporters following the meeting.
Mentioning that all countries are interested in Bangladesh's election Amir Khasru said, "Like other countries they also want to see free, neutral, acceptable, and credible election in Bangladesh like other countries."
"We also informed them there is no chance of a fair election under Sheikh Hasina, because elections under rhis government are nothing but a scheme to steal votes and stay in power," said the opposition leader in response to a question from reporters.
