BNP wants to form govt with all parties so everyone can have a say: Tarique Rahman
The BNP wants to form a government comprised of all parties in order to allow everyone to have a say, party's acting chairperson Tarique Rahman said today (8 December).
"[Therefore] Everyone has to work to fulfill the expectations of the people from their position. People's trust must be protected. We have to beware of that," he said while virtually addressing a workshop titled "31-Point State Structure Reform Proposal and Public Engagement," in Barishal at the district Shilpakala Academy.
Tarique Rahman said the responsibilities entrusted to the leaders and activists of his party must be properly fulfilled.
"The source of all power is the people. The trust and confidence of the people is our capital," he told his partymen.
Stating that he does not expect any such activities from his party leaders and activists that would jeopardise people's trust and confidence, he said, "The 31 points [for state reform] must be delivered to everyone's doorsteps in order to rebuild the country."
