Followers of AL's dictatorship trying to create chaos in govt institutions: Rizvi
Despite the fall of the Awami League government, followers of its dictatorship have been trying to create chaos in various institutions of the government, BNP Senior Joint General Secretary Ruhur Kabir Rizvi has alleged.
"Everyone should be wary of them," he said while paying homage to the Mausoleum of the National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam on the occasion of his death anniversary today (27 August).
"Dictator Sheikh Hasina was supported by one country in the world. That country never supported the people of Bangladesh. A few days ago, that same country opened their Dumboor dam and flooded the eastern part of Bangladesh with severe floods and yesterday, it opened 109 Farakka gates. They are doing this with a planned malicious purpose," the BNP leader said.
He said Sheikh Hasina took control of various institutions of the government, including the Election Commission.
"Hasina's loyal people are still there. They should be removed from all institutions," he added.
Also present on the occasion were Health Secretary of BNP Dr Md Rafiqul Islam, Associate Professor of Organization Aminul Islam, Chhatra Dal Central Sangsad Vice President Dr Touhidur Rahman Awal, among others.
