Institutions, establishments to be named after martyrs if BNP returns to power: Tarique
He called upon all to come forward to help the people affected by the mass uprising
BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman today (18 November) said if BNP can form a government with public support, different institutions and establishments across the country will be named after the martyrs.
Speaking virtually at a wheelchair distribution programme, he called upon people from all walks of life to extend their hands to those affected during the recent student-led mass uprising.
"If we all unite and work together, we firmly believe that, whether today, tomorrow, or the day after, we will witness the beginning of the Bangladesh of our dreams—the Bangladesh we envision in our hearts," he said.
Tarique Rahman said, "In the future, with the support of the people, BNP will be able to form the government. Then, to honour those who sacrificed their lives to overthrow dictators, various institutions will be established named after them, ensuring their legacy is preserved and never forgotten."
"Amra BNP Poribar" organised the event at the Jatiya Press Club to distribute wheelchairs to 10 individuals who were injured during the recent student-led mass uprising against Sheikh Hasina's autocratic regime.
