Interim government has our full support: BNP
The interim government has full support from the BNP, the party's Standing Committee member Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury said today (18 August).
"The basic structures and institutions that have been destroyed in this change have to be brought back on track. So, they have our full support. And we hope they can do the work as soon as possible," he told reports while visiting those injured during recent protests who are currently undergoing treatment at the Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
He visited different wards of the hospital and spoke to the injured and their families.
Earlier on the day, after visiting various temples in the area, he said, "[BNP Chairperson] Khaleda Zia has clearly told us that the BNP does not believe in any word such as minority.
"Because the constitution of Bangladesh has declared everyone as a Bangladeshi citizen. The constitution of Bangladesh has given equal rights to every citizen in all religious, social and political fields."
