Jamaat chief for building Bangladesh as discrimination free country
He also stated that if Jamaat comes to power, women’s dignity and security will be ensured appropriately
Bangladesh will be a discrimination free country and there will be no religious differences between the majority and minority, Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman said today (24 December).
"Bribery and corruption should be eradicated from offices and courts. Extortion, occupation must be stopped. For this, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami will give full cooperation to build a corruption free Bangladesh," he said while speaking at a workers' conference, organised by Gaibandha district unit of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami on the ground of Islamia High School.
"In the name of militancy, dramas have been made and many people have been killed in so called Aynaghar and many others became victim of enforced disappearances in the last 15 years," he alleged.
He termed Sheikh Hasina's government as "fascist" one and said the "fascist" government had destroyed the patriotic BDR.
Shafiqur Rahman also mentioned that there would be no division on the basis of religion in the country.
"If the mosques in the country don't need protection, then neither do the temples," he added.
He also stated that if Jamaat comes to power, women's dignity and security will be ensured appropriately.
Presided over by district Jamaat Ameer Abdul Karim, the function was also addressed among others, by assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim, Principal MaulanaMomtaz Uddin, Professor Mahbubur Rahman Belal, member of the Central Working Council and former Ameer of the District JamaatAbdur Rahim Sarker senior Naiyebe Ameer BirMuktijodha Abdul Wares Sarkar, district Secretary ZahurulHaque Sarkar and assistant Secretary Syed Roknuzzaman.
