Inu's JSD finalises nominations for 181 seats
JSD sold a total of 391 nomination forms
Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (Inu) has finalised the nomination of candidates for 181 seats out of 300 parliamentary seats in the upcoming national elections.
JSD Office Secretary Sajjad Hossain announced the list during a press conference at the party's central office at 4pm on Friday.
The complete list of candidates nominated by the party against some other constituencies will be announced within 30 November, JSD President Hasanul Haq Inu told reporters.
The party started selling nomination forms from 18 November and after 4 days they sold 391 nomination forms.
Meanwhile, the party's President Hasanul Haque Inu has collected his nomination form for the Kushtia-2 seat, which Inu won in the last parliamentary elections.
Party sources said JSD this time too will contest elections in alliance with the ruling Awami League. At present the party has four parliament members. Among them, three are directly elected and one is a reserved woman member of parliament.
Like the ninth, tenth and eleventh parliamentary elections, in the twelfth parliamentary elections, some registered parties will contest from alliance. JSD will participate in the election as a partner of the 14-party alliance.
JSD secured six seats in the 10th National Parliament Election and three seats in the 9th National Parliament Election.
On 15 November, the Election Commission announced that the national elections will be held on 7 January.
