"Fifteen years of extreme torture, oppression, and the loss of hundreds of leaders and workers have tested our love for our nation, but we remain steadfast," he said while speaking as the chief guest at the Jamaat workers' conference at Faridpur Government Rajendra College ground this afternoon.
He further said, "On the other hand, the Awami League, driven by self-interest and lacking love for the country, fled when faced with adversity. While in power, they focused on looting and hatching conspiracies to maintain control until 2041."
At the event, the Jamaat chief outlined the party's vision for Bangladesh.
He promised to ensure women's rights, build a harmonious society where people of all religions enjoy equal rights, and establish a work-oriented education system that discourages corruption.
He criticised the Awami League for spreading false propaganda against Jamaat, accusing them of using forced disappearances, murders, and unjust persecution during their rule.
Meanwhile, speaking at the workers' conference in Khulna, Shafiqur Rahman termed the martyrs of the July movement as national heroes and said his party is determined to fulfill their dreams.
"We are determined to fulfill their dreams. They organised countrywide anti-discrimination movements during July-August and freed the nation from the curse of autocratic rules," he said.
Shafiqur also said the dictator was ousted at the cost of blood of hundreds of students.
He urged all to remain vigilant against any kind of conspiracy so that fascists cannot come back on the soil of Bengal anymore.
