State reform should reflect faith of majority population: Khelafat Majslis
State reform initiatives by the interim government should reflect the faith of the majority population of Bangladesh, far-right Islamist political party Khelafat Majlis said today (15 November).
Speaking at a party programme in the capital today, Khelafat Majlish Secretary General Ahmad Abdul Quader also said, "There is no alternative to establishing a caliphate-based Islamic state system to eradicate all forms of discrimination and injustice permanently."
"It is true that our country has been freed from the grip of tyranny but injustice has not been eradicated permanently. Reforms in various parts of the state including education policy, constitution, and judiciary have started. We hope that these reforms will reflect the religious ideals and beliefs of the majority of people," he added.
