Swechchhasebak League president Nirmal Ranjan passes away
Nirmal Ranjan Guha, president of Bangladesh Awami Swechchhasebak League Central Committee, has passed away today. He was 58.
He breathed his last at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore, organisation's secretary Afzal Babu confirmed media.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and leaders of the ruling party have mourned his death.
On June 12, Nirmal Ranjan fell seriously ill due to high blood pressure. He was taken to Bangladesh Specialized Hospital in Shyamoli.
Two blocks were found in his heart and a ring was placed there. But his condition did not improve. Later, he was taken to Singapore on 16 June for advanced treatment.
