Rail links on Dhaka-Mymensingh route resume after 10 hours
Passengers of other trains suffered because of the accident which disrupted rail links with Dhaka
Rail connections on Dhaka-Mymensingh route resumed 10 hours after a train derailed in Trishal on Thursday night.
A rescue train is still working to rescue the engine and three bogies in Fatema Nagar of Trishal, said officials.
Zahurul Islam, superintendent of Mymensingh Railway Station, the accident happened when Dhaka-bound Mahua Express derailed around 09:45pm on Thursday.
"A number of passengers were injured as they tried to rush out of their bogies. A rescue train arrived on the scene after 02:00am on Friday," he said.
Passengers of other trains suffered because of the accident which disrupted rail links with Dhaka.
The railway authorities have formed a probe committee to know the reason of the accident.
