Rohingya teen killed in mine blast on Myanmar border
His companions rescued him, wrapped him in cloth, and brought him to the Rohingya camp
A Rohingya teenager has been killed in a landmine blast inside the Myanmar territory alongside the Ukhiya border in Cox's Bazar.
He was returning home after fishing when the blast occurred on the other side of No.34 Border Guard Bangladesh's (BGB) Ukhiya Reju Amtali Border Pillar in Cox's Bazar on Saturday.
The deceased is Md Jaber, 13, son of Emdad Hossain. He was a resident of Kutupalong Lambasia Rohingya camp of Ukhyia.

Salamat Ullah, a leader at the same camp, confirmed the matter, saying that Jaber's home was very close to the Reju Amtali Tumbro border of Myanmar.
"A group of 10-12 people went fishing on Saturday morning and while returning around 9:30 am Jaber was killed on the spot after being injured in a landmine blast buried by Myanmar border guards," he added.
His companions rescued him, wrapped him in cloth, and brought him to the Rohingya camp. His mutilated body was buried at noon.
Lt Col Ali Haider Azad, commander of 34th BGB battalion could not be reached on his mobile phone for any confirmation.
