Saudi chargé d'affaires meets the Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister
The Saudi chargé d'affaires informed the minister about the activities of the Saudi embassy in Bangladesh, at that time.
The Saudi chargé d'affaires in Bangladesh, Harkan Hua Wahid Bin Shawya, met with Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Imran Ahmad on 31 October.
Md Salim Reza, the secretary of the expatriates' welfare and overseas employment ministry, and other high officials were also present during the meeting.
The Saudi chargé d'affaires informed the minister about the activities of the Saudi embassy in Bangladesh, at that time.
Harkan Hua Wahid Bin Shawya emphasised the embassy's role regarding those seeking to work in Saudi Arabia. He pledged the highest possible assistance for the legal Bangladeshi workers and also talked about the steps taken by the Saudi government to ensure the travel of the Bangladeshi workers less expensively.
The expatriates' welfare and overseas employment ministry presented myriad problems to the chargé d'affaires that Bangladeshi workers face in Saudi Arabia. The many miseries that female workers have to endure were also bought to the chargé d'affaires' attention.
Following succinct complaints actions will be taken, the Saudi diplomat said, in response.
The Saudi-Bangladesh Joint Technical Committee's meeting is to be held in Riyadh in November. In the meeting, the issues and problems faced by Bangladeshi workers will be discussed in detail.
