Security guard dies, falling from ship in Ctg shipyard
A security guard fell off a ship and died while on duty at the SL Shipyard in Sitakunda upazila of Chattogram on Friday morning
Ronbikrom Tripura was rushed to Chattogram Medical College Hospital in critical condition after the accident.
However, the doctor on duty at the emergency unit declared him dead and the body was taken to the morgue for an autopsy, said Alauddin Talukder, assistant sub-inspector at the hospital's police outpost.

Earlier on 25 December, four workers sustained burn injuries in a gas explosion at a ship breaking yard in Chattogram.
Around 227 ship breaking workers have died in 17 years since 2005, with 13 deaths reported in the last year alone, according to the Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments.
Some 25,000 laborers work in more than 50 shipyards along the coastal areas of Sitakunda and Mirsarai in Chattogram. Around 85% of the country's steel demand is met by the ship breaking industry.
