Security guard of Robi network tower killed in Cumilla

Some unidentified individuals have killed a security guard of a Robi Axiata mobile network tower in Cumilla's Chauddagram upazila.
The deceased has been identified as Abul Hashem, son of the late Akbar Ali from Mymensingh.
The incident took place at Maddham Falgun Kora area in Chauddagram municipality early today (19 October), confirmed Md Aktaruzzaman, officer in charge of Chauddagram Police Station.

"The body of the deceased was found tied up and deformed. Piled batteries were found at the spot. The incident might have happened with an intention to loot the batteries," the OC said.
Contacted, Supervisor of Integrated Security Services Anwar Hossain said that there is another security guard at the tower and the other supervisor Safiullah was absent without a leave on the day of the murder.
According to locals, the deceased worked as a tower security guard for the past 20 years.
The deceased was even registered as a voter in the Falgun Kora area, said locals.
