SERAC Youth Conference on 16 Oct
The focus of the conference will be on Family Planning and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights
The SERAC-Bangladesh NGO will arrange the 5th National Youth Conference on Family Planning this time. The conference will be held on October 16-17 at Krishibid Institution, declared a press conference on Tuesday.
Over five hundred National Youth Delegates will be joining this year's conference where the focus will be on Family Planning 2020 and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights.
Hundreds of young people and international speakers will also join the conference virtually under the title "Connecting Youth Virtually and Globally", said the convener committee.
Speakers at the press conference said, the SERAC Bangladesh together with the Bangladesh Youth Health Action Network (BYHAN), UNFPA Bangladesh, Right Here Right Now (RHRN) Bangladesh, Marie Stopes Bangladesh, Coalition of Youth Organisations in Bangladesh (CYOB), Options Consultancy Ltd, UKAID, PSTC and UBR Alliance will be hosting the Bangladesh 5th National Youth Conference on Family Planning.
SM Shaikat, Executive director of SERAC; Dr Nadira Sultana, country lead of Options Consultancy Service Ltd; Dr Noor Mohammad, executive director of PSTC; Md Mahbub Sharkar, convener of Bangladesh Youth Health Action Network; representatives from CYOB and UBR were present at the press conference.
Dr Dipu Moni, the Minister of Education will be joining the opening programme and MA Mannan, the Minister of Planning, will be joining the closing event.
