Shipping adviser for not taking any project under political consideration

The Ministry of Shipping will not undertake any project under political consideration, Shipping Adviser Brigadier General (retd) M Sakhawat Hossain said today (23 September).
After visiting different development works at the Payra Seaport, Sakhawat, also the textiles and jute adviser, held a view-exchange meeting with the journalists.
"Implementation of all ongoing projects of the Payra Seaport will continue as usual," the adviser added.
Besides, he said the shipping ministry is carrying out its overall activities by giving special priority to the development and progress of the Payra Seaport.
During the visit, Ministry of Shipping Additional Secretary Sanjay Kumar Bonik, Payra Port Authority Chairman Rear Admiral Abdullah Al Mamun, Project Director of the Payra Seaport Commodore Rajib Tripura were present at the meeting.
