Sohel Taj, son of Bangladesh's first prime minister Tajuddin Ahmad and former MP for Gazipur-4 constituency, has tied the knot.
The 55-year-old former state minister for home affairs married Shahnaj Pervin Shimu, a trainer at his Inspire Fitness Center, in a simple ceremony at a restaurant in the capital's Banani on Friday (17 January).
On 29 December, He proposed to Shimu and got engaged.

Some photos and videos of their wedding photoshoot have gone viral online. The wedding photography was handled by Rahat Luxury Photography and Dream Weaver, who posted the wedding visuals on their Facebook pages.
A close source to Sohel Taj said Shimu, his new life partner's hometown is Thakurgaon, and she lives in Dhaka with her two brothers and mother.
The source said their relationship developed over a long period of working together. Following mutual agreement between both families, they first exchanged rings and completed their wedding ceremony on Friday.
