Repeal the Digital Security Act: Protesters
About 250 workers and students gathered in front of the Bangladesh National Museum on Friday afternoon to take part in the protest
The Bangladesh Workers' Rights Council organised a protest rally demanding a trial over the "murder" of writer Mushtaq Ahmed, the release of everyone arrested under the Digital Security Act (DSA) and that the law be repealed.
About 250 workers and students gathered in front of the Bangladesh National Museum on Friday afternoon to take part in the protest.
Nurul Haque Nur, former VP of Ducsu, who was present at the protest, urged the government to repeal the Digital Security Act by 26 March.

Muhammad Rashed Khan, acting convener of the Student Rights Council, accused that the government of depriving the Bangladeshi people of their constitutional right to freedom of speech, adding that the Digital Security Act is being abused.
"We want the unconditional release of all prisoners otherwise further protests will follow," said Farooq Hasan, joint convener of the Student Rights Council.
Convener of the Workers' Rights Council Abdur Rahman led the rally where Member Secretary Ariful Rahman, Joint Convener of the Student Rights Council Arifur Islam Adib, Mahfuzur Rahman, Mashiur Rahman, Mina Al Amin, Akram Hossain, Mollah Rahmatullah, Youth Rights Council Convener Ataullah, Member Secretary Faridul Islam, Joint Convener Manzoor Morshed, Tareq Rahman, and Namzul Karim Ritu were present, among others.
