BTRC stresses coordinated efforts to remove overhead cables
The Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has urged the authorities concerned to resolve the crisis centring the removal of overhead cables in the capital through coordinated efforts.
All the stakeholders concerned have responded positively to the BTRC's call and expressed their willingness to resolve the crisis.
The development came at a meeting organised by the BTRC on Thursday evening, in participation of representatives of Internet Service Providers Association of Bangladesh (Ispab), two city corporations in Dhaka, and Nationwide Telecommunication Transmission Network (NTTN), said a press release.

Addressing the meeting, BTRC Chairman Md Jahurul Haque urged all the parties to take an initiative in compliance with the laws, regulations and guidelines of the government.
He also assured the service takers that the price of Internet will remain unchanged no matter what decision is taken.
