Tk1 crore, a weapon, ammunition seized from Nasrul Hamid's Banani building

Law enforcement agencies conducted an operation at a building owned by former state minister for power and energy Nasrul Hamid in Banani, Dhaka.
The raid began at midnight today (21 August) and continued until 2pm.
Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (Gulshan Division) Reazul Haque confirmed that the operation resulted in the recovery of "cash and foreign currency totalling Tk1 crore." The authorities also found "a weapon and 50 rounds of ammunition."
The building had been surrounded by army, police, and RAB members before the operation started.
Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud, two coordinators from the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, and Nurul Haq Nur, president of the Gana Adhikar Parishad, were present at the scene during the early stages of the operation.
