A mobile court has fined two business establishments in Old Dhaka's Badamtoli area TK 12 lakh for storing and selling adulterated dates.
Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), led by executive magistrate Sarwar Alam, in an anti-adulteration drive today, seized 2 tonnes of adulterated dates from their warehouses.
Executive magistrate, Sarwar Alam said during the holy month of Ramadan, several unscrupulous businessmen are packaging and selling adulterated dates, having no expiry date.
The mobile court fined TK12 lakh to two warehouses on charge of storing and selling adulterated dates, he added.
