Two Rohingyas killed in clash at Ukhia camp
The injured have been admitted to Ukhia Health Complex Hospital and different clinics at the camp
Two persons died and 10 more were injured at the Kutupalong Rohingya camp in Cox's Bazar Ukhia area today during a series of clashes between two Rohingya groups over internal conflict and establishing supremacy.
The deceased are - Imam Sharif, 30 and Shamsul Alam, 28.
The injured have been admitted to Ukhia Health Complex Hospital and different clinics at the camp.
Yasin Farooq, inspector of Armed Police Battalion (APBN) and in-charge of No-14 Kutupalong Rohingya camp, said, "There has been a longstanding dispute between two Rohingya groups residing in registered and unregistered camps. They clashed early this morning."
Gazi Salahuddin, officer-in-charge (investigation) of Ukhia Police Station, said, "Police have been deployed in the area. The situation is now under control. Legal action will be taken in this regard".
The bodies were sent to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
