Unique exhibition on Rickshaw in New York
A unique exhibition of Bangladeshi traditional vehicle Rickshaw is being held at the Brooklyn Waterfront Artist Gallery in New York.
Bangladesh Consul General in New York Sadia Faizunnesa attended the exhibition of the rickshaw imported from Bangladesh, on Sunday.
New York-based freelance journalist and artist Andy Isaacson hosted the unique exhibition, said a press release.
Consul General Sadia Faizunnesa spoke to the visitors at the exhibition and briefed them about the rickshaw and the artists behind it.
She said the rickshaw artwork is an innate expression of the artistic consciousness of the common people of Bangladesh.
The Consul General noted that through such an exhibition, mainstream American visitors will be able to gain a positive idea of Bangladesh's heritage and culture.
She sincerely thanked artist Andy Isaacson for bridging the gap between the diverse, indigenous and genuine industries of Bangladesh with the mainstream of the United States.
Artist Andy Isaacson told the Consul General that the traditional rickshaw in Bangladesh is called "Authentic Bicycle Rickshaw".
The exhibition will continue next Saturday and Sunday (12 and 13 December).
