Virtual seminar held on ‘Bangladesh-US Trade and Investment Opportunities’
Bangladesh Consulate General in New York and US-Bangladesh Global Chamber of Commerce jointly organised a virtual seminar on 'Bangladesh-US Trade and Investment Opportunities' on 30 March as a part of the glorious golden jubilee of Bangladesh's independence and the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The virtual seminar was co-chaired by Sadia Faizunnesa, Consul General of Bangladesh in New York, and Aziz Ahmad, Chairperson of the US-Bangladesh Global Chamber of Commerce. Mark Joler, former managing director of the New York Times helped with conducting the seminar which more than a hundred American businessmen and investors attended.
Md Sirajul Islam, Executive Chairman, Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) outlined a picture of Bangladesh's overall economic development and investment-friendly environment, urging potential US investors to invest in Bangladesh. He invited everyone to attend the BIDA Investment Summit to be held in Bangladesh this year.
