Woman held with marijuana during Kashimpur jail visit
Jail authority later handed her over to the police

Jail authority on Thursday detained a woman with marijuana while she was visiting her mother at Kashimpur Women’s Central Jail in Gazipur.
The detainee is Sadia Akter, 20, a resident of Tangail.
“Sadia came to visit her mother, who is in jail over a drug-related case. Finding her behaviour suspicious, prison guards searched her and found almost 50 grams of marijuana,” said Umme Salma Kulsum, jail super of Kashimpur Women’s Central Jail.

Konabari police station Sub Inspector Saiful Islam has confirmed that Sadia was held by the jail authority from the visitor’s room and guards later handed her over to the police.
The police are preparing to file a case in this regard.
