Workers’ welfare foundation provides Tk6.25cr to workers as medical assistance

The Bangladesh Workers' Welfare Foundation under the Labour and Employment Ministry has provided Tk6.25 crore as medical assistance to around 2,000 workers in formal and informal sectors.
After verifying the applications of the workers who have applied for the support, the Workers' Welfare Foundation has issued around Tk 6.25 crore cheques for the workers of the accidental death or injury in the workplaces or suffering from incurable diseases, as per a Labour and Employment Ministry press release issued today.
Director General of the Bangladesh Workers Welfare Foundation Md Rezaul Haque said Bangladesh Workers' Welfare Foundation fund was formed for the welfare of working people.
