Bangladesh Jute Goods Exporters Association holds executive board election
Mohammad Shafiqul Islam of Dubai Jute and Bag Corporation has been elected chairman of Bangladesh Jute Goods Exporters Association (BJGEA).
The association members voted to elect executive board directors on 20 March, while the executive directors cast their votes to elect office bearers on 22 March, reads a press release.
Apart from the chairman, other elected office bearers of the executive board are - S Ahmed Majumder of Combined Trade Link, senior vice-chairman; HM Rezaul Karim of Biko Jute Fibers, vice-chairman (01); and Dara Al Masud Khan of International Sales Agencies, vice-chairman (02).

The other directors of the 13-member board are Sajedur Rahman of Jute World Exports, Mohammad Maruf Hossain of Rainbow Associates, Syed Ali Alfe Sunny Akash of Beheshti Exports and Imports, Muridul Alam Chowdhury of Universe Jute Fiber and Bag Corporation. Sk. Wahiduzzaman of Purobi Trading, Dr. Mohammad Kamruzzaman of Eco Bangla Jute Limited., Dr. Mainul Hasan Chowdhury of Kaplan Jute Limited, Bibek Saha of Orko Enterprise and Israt Jahan Chowdhury of Tulika.
