Kazi Absar Uddin Ahmed appointed as new BIFPCL MD
Kazi Absar Uddin Ahmed joined Bangladesh-India Friendship Power Company (Pvt.) Limited (BIFPCL) as new Managing Director (MD) on Monday.
Before his new appointment, he was serving as Chief Engineer (Generation) of Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB), said a press release.
Kazi Absar Uddin Ahmed was born on 15 February, 1963 in Dhaka. He obtained BSC (Engineering) in Mechanical from BUET.
He joined BPDB in September, 1986 as Assistant Engineer. He obtained a postgraduate degree in Public Affairs from Civil Service College under the University of Dhaka.
Later, he served various important positions of BPDB including recent position as Chief Engineer (Planning & Design).
Earlier, he also served as Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) of Bangladesh-India Friendship Power Company (Pvt.) Limited (BIFPCL) on lien from BPDB.
He has visited different countries including India, China, Singapore, Germany, South Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, Australia, UK, France, Spain, and Switzerland for training and professional purposes.
