Peyala partners up with IHF’s Chakar School
In the spirit of Halloween this year, Peyala has extended its support to the underprivileged kids of Dhaka to help ensure their education and wellbeing in collaboration with ‘Chakar School’
This year on the occasion of Halloween, Peyala cafe partnered up with 'It's Humanity Foundation' (IHF) for the second time to support 'Chakar School,' the first digital mobile school in Bangladesh.
IHF introduced Chakar School a few years ago to ensure that the underprivileged children of the capital have access to free education and healthcare. Their main motto is to promote and provide quality education.
For this purpose, they have targeted four areas across the city, providing for 120 children per year, according to a press release issued by the Peyala Cafe.
Peyala took initiatives to support Chakar School during their Halloween campaign to support these children on their daily needs.
This time, Peyala's Halloween campaign was all about the nightmares experienced by the people of the 21st century. The main objective of the campaign was to highlight the fact that all people have problems and fears, while for some people, it is scarier than others.
To support, the cafe introduced all-new 21st-century nightmare themed brownies and whole cakes this year, with 10% of each sale of these Halloween items being donated to facilitate better health and education of the children at Chakar School.
Due to Covid-19, schooling has been affected vastly throughout the capital, causing Chakar School to limit their services as well. Currently, they are providing education and health support to 20 children at Mirpur and Diabari area and plans to expand more in the upcoming months.
''This is our small initiative to help these children during their time of need. We are steadfast in our journey to support these children in any way possible," said Arif Mustafa, head of business of MGH Restaurants Pvt Ltd.
Earlier in September, Peyala re-opened for dine-in adhering to the safety protocols to ensure protection for the staff and food hygiene for the guests visiting the cafe.
