A journalist from Bangladesh asked, "We have seen realme is doing excellent from the very beginning. You are providing smartphones within affordable prices along with many exciting features. I heard you are planning to consider the EU market as one of realme's priority markets. I want to know – What is realme's strategy for Asian markets, especially for Bangladesh. Any good news on whether this booming market will also get priority soon or not?"
In reply, Xu Qi, Vice President and Global Marketing President, realme, said, "realme considers Asia a very important market. If we consider Bangladesh, the country's economy has been growing at a very impressive rate especially over the last decade, and is set to become a significant global economic power over the coming decade. The purchasing power of consumers is increasing, as is their willingness to embrace new technological products and services.
Recognizing the immense potential of this market, we entered Bangladesh early this year. Till date, we have launched a wide variety of tech-trendy products at various price points to compliment the lifestyle of the Bangladeshi youth, which include stylish, trendy, and powerful smartphones at various price points. We are very encouraged by the enthusiastic response we have received from our customers here so far.
According to Counterpoint Research, realme grew 1000% QoQ to take 6% of the market*. This has motivated us to continue investing in this market in the future. For instance, to ensure continuously improving customer experience, we are rapidly expanding the number of brand shops in the country. This offers a glimpse of what we are doing in other Asian markets as well, especially in Bangladesh. We acknowledge the importance of all our markets for our sustained growth."
