Jibon Krishna Chatterjee breathed his last at a hospital in Kolkata on 9 April
A retired senior official of the Ministry of Shipping, Jibon Krishna Chatterjee, passed away on the morning of 9 April.
He breathed his last at a hospital in Kolkata.
He left behind his wife, five sons, five daughters, grandchildren and numerous admirers.

In addition to his job, Krishna Chatterjee regularly acted in plays.
Among his sons, Advocate Sujit Chatterjee Bappi is a Deputy Attorney General at the Attorney General's Office in Bangladesh.
Sanjib Chatterjee is the Head of Exim Bank's Corporate Affairs and Branding and Marketing and Development Division. And, Sanjay Chatterjee is working at Islam Group.
