Founder Institute recognizes 7 tech-based Bangladeshi startups at graduation event
Founder Institute Bangladesh organised a graduation ceremony on Tuesday after a four-month-long pre-seed accelerator program
Founder Institute, the world's largest pre-seed startup accelerator, recently recognised seven tech-based Bangladeshi startups at an online event on Tuesday.
The startups received recognition for their innovative ideas and commitment to working to improve the standard of living and for creating employment opportunities by utilising information technology.
Earlier, in August last year, Founder Institute invited aspiring Bangladeshi entrepreneurs to build technology-based businesses. Tuesday's ceremony titled "Founder Institute Graduation" marked an end to the four-month-pre-seed period.

The seven companies recognised at the online event are: Daktar Bondhu, DailyGoods Limited, Kidzwheel, Showpur Ltd, Offset Interactive, Belab, and Agromars Limited.
Daktar Bondhu is an on-demand video telemedicine service where patients can communicate with highly skilled and registered doctors at an affordable price, DailyGoods Limited is an e-commerce platform for grocery delivery nationwide, Kidzwheel is a platform for children where they can safely exchange knowledge and ideas, and Showpur motivates mobile business expansion for small traders at a low cost.
Offset Interactive helps people to connect with printing and packing places, meanwhile, Belab is a problem-solving platform for young people – aged 18 to 25 – where the company provides solutions to problems regarding education, employment and entrepreneurship. Further, Agromars Limited motivates people to lead improved lives by consuming healthy food.
The graduation ceremony was moderated by Mehad Ul Haque, project manager and senior business consultant of LightCastle.
Congratulating the graduating founders, Adeo Ressi, CEO and founder of Founder Institute (FI) said, "FI is willing to provide the graduating startups with innovative modules to ensure the viability and scalability of their business."
Tina Jabeen, managing director of Startup Bangladesh who is the senior director of Dhaka's Founder Institute said, "We encourage initiatives to support our local startup ecosystem."
Bijon Islam, founder and CEO of LightCastle; Minhaz Anwar, founder of BetterStories; and Sajid Amit, associate professor and director of Center for Enterprise and Society (CES), University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (Ulab) were also present at the event.
The ceremony was jointly organised by LightCastle Partners, a business consulting firm in Bangladesh; BetterStories, a smart technology and startup ecosystem-based firm; and Ulab. The event was supported by Pathao, Shohoz and Praava Health.
