Uber, partnering with grocery chains and small independent businesses in Dhaka is set to deliver essential supplies to customers at their doorstep to help the government in the time of novel coronavirus outbreak.

"Our partnership with the grocery chains and small independent businesses to deliver essential everyday items via Uber Eats will keep Bangladeshs supply chains moving, and help authorities enforce a nationwide lockdown for containing Covid-19," said Misha Ali, Uber Eats lead, Bangladesh.
"We are privileged to be able to support authorities and these efforts will provide courier partners a livelihood and also keep local restaurants and businesses afloat., he added.
By sharing its technology and vast network of delivery partners with the government, Uber is helping to free up precious State resources so that they can be channelled towards life-saving efforts.
