40 doctors, 17 staff of Suhrawardy Hospital infected with coronavirus
Some 40 doctors, seven nurses and 10 staff of Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College & Hospital have tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
Confirming the matter to The Business Standard, hospital's Director Dr Uttam Barua said, "The Pathology, Radiology and Paediatrics departments of the hospital have been put under partial lockdown."
"All staff of these departments are being tested for the virus. Those, who are being tested positive, are under treatment and others are joining the work," the director added.
He also said 40 doctors of the hospital are in quarantine currently.
So far 440 doctors have been infected with the deadly virus in the country.
